Please read the following before emailing me:

I’ve been getting a lot of emails lately, so I apologize if I don’t reply. It genuinely bums me out that I don’t have time to reply to everyone.

If your question resembles what should I do? I cannot provide clinical advice. I’m sorry about that. You should find a clinician (or other appropriate professional) to discuss that. You deserve proper help.

If you’re looking for a therapist or a supervisor, I’m terribly sorry, but my practice has been full for several years.

You can also go to BetterHelp.com/KIRK for a discount with online therapy.

If you’re looking for a therapist in your area, I do not have the resources to help you. You should contact your medical insurance for a referral or search online for a good match. You might have to try a few therapists before you find a good fit. If the podcast has inspired you to find a therapist, I might try a therapist who uses psychodynamic, attachment, interpersonal, relational, systemic, or humanistic methods.

If you want help with domestic violence, The National Domestic Violence Hotline can help: thehotline.org

If you want help with suicide, The National Suicide Prevention Hotline can help: suicidepreventionlifeline.org

If you are experiencing a safety concern (e.g., child safety, stalking, violence), you should not contact me, since I cannot help with that. You should contact the appropriate authorities (e.g., police, child protective services).

If you email me regardless of the warnings listed, I might not be able to reply.
